The approach
This edition was informed by a reading of Design Foundation, a synthesis of material from the Design Manifestos archive. Its ideas prompted a closer look at hierarchy, typography, and the relationship between a page and its content.
Project images and context give the work its presence. The notes have a quieter rhythm for reading. Expressive scale helps establish what matters; the content comes before ornament.
Ink & white is the palette chosen for this edition: near-black type, white paper, and silver-gray surfaces. The work images retain their original colors.
Images & type
Project imagery comes from the work itself, alongside a drawing of George. The case studies retain their captions and source links, including the distinction between current company imagery and earlier work.
